Home Together, the house of the future with Enel X
“We are what we repeatedly do,” wrote Aristotle. With this in mind, if we take our daily life as a starting point, and systematically rethink our home environment and lifestyle, it is possible to transform sustainability into a development opportunity, saving energy and money and improving the lives of everyone. This was the theme at the heart of Home Together 2020, the trade fair dedicated to sustainable housing, organised by Gabetti at the Fiera Milano exhibition centre in Rho on the 30 and 31 January. Enel X was the event’s main partner. Home Together 2020 was the ideal showcase in which to present our innovative range of solutions to professionals from the real estate sector, solutions that enable homes, cities, cars and businesses to reduce their environmental impact.
Sustainable housing, an achievable goal for us all
Home Together highlighted Italians’ growing interest in sustainability in the home as a way of combining saving money with greater comfort and respect for the environment. Addressing the Enel X event, architect Paola Marella pointed out that most of the housing stock in Italy dates back to the post-war period and is now outmoded and in need of significant renovation.
Thanks to Vivi Meglio (“Live Better”), Enel X’s turnkey solution for apartment buildings, energy renovation and seismic renovation are within reach of everyone. “We enable buildings to carry out improvements that qualify for the Ecobonus and Sismabonus incentives, meaning that they need only pay 30% of the total outlay,” explained Simone Benassi, Head of Vivi Meglio sales. The remaining amount is covered by the Ecobonus tax credit (from 50 to 75% of the cost of the energy renovation, divided into 10 annual reimbursements) and Sismabonus tax credit (from 50% to 85% of costs for work to improve safety standards, divided into 5 annual reimbursements, or 10 if combined with the Ecobonus). The incentives, which are available until the end of 2021 for buildings and extended for all of 2020 for residential units (as confirmed in the latest Italian budget law), have been enhanced by the possibility to transfer the tax credit in a single solution to Enel X. Thanks to the transferable tax credit, customers no longer need to worry about how – and how long it will take them – to recoup their outlay, because Enel X will take care of it directly: the building only has to pay the part of the costs not covered by the incentives. Our company will support the client throughout all the phases of the energy renovation in order to guarantee the utmost quality, care and efficiency of the project.
