The 51.6-hectare Colombian brewery
Codensa has developed and supplied the electrical and lighting systems for Central Cervecera’s new production facility
The Central Cervecera brewery
Central Cervecera is a Colombian company that was created in November 2014 from the merger of two large commercial enterprises: Postobón, a leading soft drinks manufacturer, and the Compañía Cervecerías Unidas S.A., which holds a dominant position in the Colombian beer market and has numerous production and commercial sites throughout Latin America. The company has established a key position in the Colombian market, operating with important brands such as Heineken, Coors Light, Tecate, SOL, Miller Genuine Draft, Miller Lite and Buckler 0,0.
A new 51.6-hectare production facility
With the aim of consolidating its presence on the market, Central Cervecera has begun construction of a 51.6-hectare production facility. Codensa was responsible for designing and fitting the electric infrastructure within the facility, as well as the internal and external lighting systems for the brewery, which will become operational at the end of 2018.
The proposed solution consists of the provision and installation of 150 km of connections between the main panels and each of the production areas, including the related cabling and distribution boards. Furthermore, we have taken care of the supply and installation of lighting units both inside and outside the brewery. In total there will be 1,900 units installed at the end of the project in an area of 220,000 m2. The project involves a team of 85 people. The tangible advantages that this project will bring to the client are: guaranteed support in the case of supply related problems, consultancy from our experts during the design phase, as well as a client assistance service.
Codensa’s multi-partner proposal
Thanks to Codensa’s multi-partner proposal, it has been possible to offer the client a structured solution at an advantageous price, activating tenders for the labour and supply of other necessary materials.
This competitive and advantageous commercial proposal offers tangible benefits for Central Cervecera.
