Seoul, June 30, 2025 – Enel X Korea, the country’s leading independent aggregator of demand response virtual power plants (VPP) and energy solutions, is proud to announce the successful completion of ‘Safety Week 2025’ , an initiative held from June 23 to 27. Designed to go beyond compliance, the campaign underscored Enel X Korea’s belief that safety is the foundation of operational excellence and long-term partnership, uniting employees, contractors and customers around a shared commitment to a safer, more resilient energy future.
Carrying the message “Your Safety, Our Priority. Your Success, Our Mission,” the campaign brought Enel X Korea’s safety vision to life: that safety is not only about protection, but empowering people to enable long-term success and growth through trust and collaboration.
Hyoungmin Kim, Country Manager of Enel X Korea, said, “At Enel X Korea, safety is more than a compliance obligation, it is a mindset which is integral to our way of working. It shapes how we work, how we partner, and how we innovate. Safety Week 2025 gave us a powerful opportunity to reinforce this mindset across our ecosystem, from our teams to our contractors to our customers.”
Daniele Andreoli, Head of Flexibility Solutions, Enel X, said, “Safety is a fundamental value at Enel X, one that extends across all geographies and 14 countries in which we operate. Safety Week represents more than a local initiative, it embodies the global standards we are committed to upholding in every market. The Enel X Korea team has demonstrated exemplary leadership and a hands-on approach in advancing our safety culture. Through consistent practices, strong partnerships, and accountability, they are setting a benchmark for how safety can be embedded into everyday operations.”
The campaign kicked off with Safety Day on June 23 at the Seoul headquarters, where key engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and operations and maintenance (O&M) contractors joined an in-depth session focused on real-world accident cases, root cause analysis, and preventive strategies. Participants engaged in open dialogue on enhancing field-level safety practices and shared ideas on co-developing more effective site protocols. The session concluded with a joint safety declaration, reaffirming Enel X Korea’s commitment to a culture built on trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
During the week, Enel X Korea carried out a series of on-site inspections and Safety Walks at solar photovoltaic (PV) generation sites and demand response (DR) customer facilities. These activities brought together internal safety supervisors, contractor executives, and customer teams to identify potential risks, provide real-time feedback, and implement actionable safety measures.
The week concluded with an internal wrap-up session to consolidate insights, align on feedback and next steps. Teams curated onsite content and key takeaways to ensure that the campaign’s momentum continues to shape day-to-day practices and future safety programs.
“Enel X’s commitment to safety was clearly demonstrated throughout this campaign. Rather than treating it as a box-checking exercise, they approached it with purpose and professionalism,” said representative from the Renewable Energy Business Division at Korea Midland Power (KOMIPO). “Observing how they engaged with our O&M partners gave us confidence that safety is truly embedded in their operations, and that this type of engagement will help build safer, more resilient operations moving forward.”
“This campaign reflects our belief that safety must be hands-on, partner-driven, and woven into everything we do,” said Hyoungmin Kim, Country Manager of Enel X Korea. “By working directly with our customers and contractors in the field, we have taken meaningful steps toward building a sustainable and scalable model for safety leadership.”
Looking ahead, Enel X Korea aims to deepen its field-based collaboration model, applying lessons from Safety Week to enhance site protocols, empower partners and build a more resilient energy future.
