TECO requires all facilities to participate in an annual audit.
Audit performance is calculated the same as a dispatch— if your site significantly underperforms, your nomination may be reduced going forward until the next program or audit event.
Audit details are outlined below. If you have additional questions, please call us at 888-363-7662 or email support.EnelXNorthAmerica@enel.com.
Audit Scheduling
TECO calls the 2–3 hour audit at its discretion and may do so at any time during the capability period. Historically audits have been called in mid-late October.
Even if an emergency event is dispatched during the summer, for example, an audit will still be scheduled in October.
Audit Details and Preparation
The Enel X application allows you to monitor performance during the audit. Log in to apps.enelx.com, click the “Demand Response” tab, and choose “Today’s Performance” to view current demand and your performance target during the audit.
To prepare for audits and dispatches, please review the Dispatch Notifications Guide.
Prior to the audit, review your Energy Reduction Plan and verify your facility’s contact info in the Enel X application and contact Enel X if you have questions about your participation.
Payment Impact
Capacity payments are based upon your site’s average performance across all dispatches in a month. If your site is unable to participate for the entirety of the audit, perform when you are able to as there is no minimum performance required for capacity payments. Underperformance in the audit will decrease that month’s capacity payment and will affect your site’s future nomination.
Performance Monitoring During the Audit
Baselines are calculated by an average of the three highest load days of the previous ten business days for the time of the dispatch with a day-of load adjustment.
During the audit, you can see your baseline displayed in the Enel X application in the “Today’s Performance” view. Your energy usage on the day of an audit may be above or below your baseline—performance is determined by the difference between the baselines and raw curtailment.
