New generation photovoltaic systems in motorway service areas

Chef Express is the latest company to embark on the positive path to environmental sustainability and, once again, it has put its trust in Enel X’s experience and innovation.  The Cremonini Group member is Italy’s leading railway, airport and motorway catering chain with over 400 outlets across the entire Peninsula. However, we have had a partnership with Chef Express for some time now. Indeed, Enel X already manages eight of the Cremonini Group’s motorway services areas using its remote control services

This latest collaboration focuses on the motorway service areas at Gonars (near Udine) and Fratta Sud (near Venice), where we will be installing new generation turnkey photovoltaic systems.

The solutions developed by our team of experts are the result of in-depth analysis of the client’s individual requirements, and reflect the specific requirements of the sites in question.  In the case of the service areas, we designed two photovoltaic systems of 50 kW apiece which will slash overall emissions by around 40,590 kg of C02 annually.

But Enel X’s work does not stop at the design stage. Thanks to our Circular Economy Report, we will also be partnering Chef Express in the steps subsequent to the installation of the systems, by measuring the energy circularity levels of the sites and outlining a genuine roadmap of solutions to help improve the company’s circularity.

Enel X and Chef Express are continuing on the road to sustainability together – a road on which even the service areas are becoming greener all the time!
