Hugely successful Spanish best practice Servicio de Gestión Eficiente launches in six new countries
Enel X’s smart consumption and centralised efficient POD management platform arrives in South America and Romania

A smart platform for multisite business customers has got tongues wagging. SGEf (Servicio de Gestión Eficiente – Efficient Management Service) started life in Spain around 10 years ago and launched in South America and Romania last year. A best practice so successful that it deserves to be shared in other nations, in other words. The service was developed to optimise the consumption and management of Point Of Delivery (POD) activities in an efficient, centralised fashion using various innovative control tools, including a dedicated Call Center complete with a Personal Coordinator always available to the customer, and a digital platform that provides access to detailed reports on invoices.
Analysis of both local markets and regulations combined with adaptation of the SGEf platform to the individual nations saw the service exported to a further six countries in 2018 alone: Chile, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Romania and Spain. In fact, in barely nine months, SGEf has welcomed over 40 business customers, with more than 3,400 Points of Delivery managed through the platform. These include pharmaceutical businesses, telephone companies, shopping malls, banks, supermarkets and public administrations.
Thanks to the “trial period” offered, customers were able to familiarise themselves with the smart platform, building up not just knowledge about its use but also facilitating the smooth integration of the new tool into the corporate webs of the individual Enel X Countries. The Business-to-Business market covered by the SGEf service is extremely large with 11,500 customers and 200,000 PODs with a straightforward choice of options offering a 360° response to customer needs.
The corporate ecosystem continues its evolution towards efficiency and sustainability thanks to the smart solutions of Enel X.
