When you run installations across 50 cities, a new energy programme isn’t one decision. It’s the same decision repeated at every site, with a different operations manager each time asking the same question: what happens if we can’t deliver the reduction?
REMONDIS answered that by not committing. In 2020, five plants entered the demand side response programme on a trial basis — enough to learn how the mechanism worked and what it demanded operationally, without exposing the wider Group.
Enel X Polska assessed each plant’s reduction capability, set the declared level accordingly, and prepared the sites for the reduction tests that condition both entry and payment. All five passed.
