What type of payment do clients receive in Italy?

To meet the diverse needs of different clients, some aggregators offer various products as well as bespoke options in certain cases in order to provide high quality services to the TSO (Transmission System Operator) by managing any potential client-side risks.

To date, payment for Demand Response services consist of two components:

  1. Fixed-term, in which the client is paid for the availability offered
  2.  Spot-pricing, the client is remunerated based on the actual movements carried out by the TSO.

The aggregator’s management fee is to be subtracted from these sums, as are any costs for site modifications (estimated in the range of 2,500 € to 5,000€ per site). Payments from changes in the Dispatching Services Market (where provided for) must also be added.
