Thanks to the exhaustive analysis of the power demand profile in more than 300 points of Banco Santander Argentina, the teams of Enel X Argentina and the financial entity identified the possibility of generating savings through the rehiring of power, with which the entity achieved savings of more than 3.4 million pesos, equivalent to 21% of contracted power costs.
This analysis was performed within the UBM contract signed between Banco Santander Argentina and Enel X Argentina last year, which allows the collection and analysis of information on consumption and cost of services contracted by the banking institution, with the aim of optimizing use of resources.
The procedure first required the analysis of the power demand and its corresponding contracted power and then the verification of points where it was possible to generate savings. Subsequently, the power was rehired, at some points it was necessary to decrease it and at others increase it, as well as the rate change.
Thus, in a span of six months, the Santander Argentina bank was able to account for a 21% saving in contracted power costs, but above all, to optimize the resources it has. "When you hire specialized people with the appropriate digital platforms, you can achieve savings by optimizing power contracting," said Alejandro Rueda, team leader at Enel X Argentina.
Henceforth, the Enel X Argentina team will continue to monitor and verify the consumption of all Santander branches to detect new possibilities for saving and optimizing consumption.
Power supply is critical at this time and in what lies ahead. And in this sense, the Enel X Argentina team is prepared to develop similar projects throughout the country.
