Enel X Argentina signed a service contract for UBM management with Carrefour Argentina, which will analyze its energy consumption and advise it to optimize the use of electricity supply.
This first stage of the contract will cover 398 points or premises, type Carrefour Express, distributed in Capital Federal, Greater Buenos Aires and different locations in the province of Córdoba.
At a later stage it is expected to cover a greater number of establishments.
UBM management consists of monitoring and processing electricity consumption from the electricity bill to identify savings opportunities, avoidable costs or recoverable costs.
It also allows optimizing the use of the energy service to be more efficient in its consumption.
A team of specialists from Enel X Argentina participates in its application, who from the preliminary analyzes have begun to see great savings potential.
Although this is an initial phase in the consumption analysis, our idea is that, through reports and data intelligence strategies, we can make adjustments, in terms of power contracting and consumption, that lead Carrefour Argentina to be much more efficient.
Alejandro Rueda, head of B2B at Enel X Argentina, indicated that the UBM platform is very useful for all multipoint companies or companies with a large number of offices, since it allows developing strategies to be more efficient, and also facilitates the incorporation and analysis of new indicators that are useful, such as the surface area of the premises, number of employees, average ticket, among others.
“We want to be closer to companies and to be facilitators in optimizing costs and energy efficiency. We have already done this with Banco Santander and the results have been very positive. We are sure that with Carrefour it will be the same ”, said Rueda.
For Carrefour, this initiative, which is part of its Sustainability policy, has energy savings as a fundamental pillar, when it comes to minimizing impacts on the planet and lowering costs. Within this framework, the company developed the Anti-Waste Plan that seeks to guarantee the effective use of resources, encouraging all areas of the company to be more efficient and generate value.
