BBVA joins the companies that are committed to energy efficiency, by incorporating the UBM digital solution in its branches and buildings in Argentina, a tool that allows monitoring and managing the financial institution's service bills.
The agreement was signed last week, at which point the engines were turned on for Enel X specialists in the country to install the system and start the pilot phase. The agreement establishes the management and monitoring of 572 supply points (POd’s), distributed in 220 BBVA subsidiaries throughout the country.
In its initial phase, the project includes UBM but it is expected that later the bank will incorporate the EMS solution, which also allows checking in real time how consumption varies in each of the branches, which allows greater efficiency.
In addition to the exhaustive analysis of energy bills and contracted power at each supply point, the Enel X Argentina technical team is prepared to review the consumption of other services such as gas and water, along with additional variables, between these flights. , fuel for generator sets and waste, and will also provide consulting and advice in the selection of the most suitable alternatives in architecture projects, review of electrical procedures, electrical projects and determination of power to hire.
Alejandro Rueda, head of B2B at Enel X, explained that this contract is an important achievement for the company and lays the foundations for what will be a close relationship in the future: “We are making all the adjustments from the first moment to start the review and the analysis as soon as possible. With BBVA we will add more than 3.000 supply points analyzed throughout Argentina”.
Juan Erize, Country Manager of Enel X Argentina, highlighted that energy efficiency is taking a very important boost in the country, much more if one considers the long jump that the digitization of processes has taken in the last year of the pandemic. "This path to energy efficiency is unstoppable, and we are offering efficient solutions and products that are changing life in cities, people's lives and business activity", he concluded.
Enel X Argentina continues to work with the companies and industries that drive the country, offering them energy efficiency solutions that contribute to sustainability and the environment, and thus together achieve the goal of being carbon neutral by 2050.
