Following the signing of an agreement between Enel X, Edesur and authorities of the municipality of Lanús, we are installing a total of 6.000 LED luminaires that will improve lighting conditions, safety and energy efficiency.
The project covers different areas of the municipality, where both installation from scratch and the replacement of obsolete devices are required.
The crews are now working in Villa Caraza, an area near the Riachuelo, to improve the lighting of the entire area.
The main objective of this plan is to install for the first time or perform the replacement of the LED luminaires that are out of service to complete the park to 100% smart devices.
From sodium to smart LED
"With this action we make sure to give more security to the neighbor and complete the expansion plan of the Municipality to become 100% LED," said Luciano Imperiale, Head of Government Business Enel X / Edesur.
He stressed that this is a joint work with the SEMAP (Municipal Public Lighting Service), led by Ricardo Rij, general director of Urban Lighting and Networks, an office from which there is a huge commitment to guarantee energy efficiency in public lighting.
Juan Erize, country manager of Enel X Argentina, highlighted the convenience of installing this type of technology, which in the future will be easily integrated into remote management. "Changing from sodium to LED luminaires is a big step, but if these LED luminaires are also easily integrable, in the future, remote management is a milestone, since the latter means more technology in terms of monitoring and maintenance of the equipment, in addition to being able to be controlled remotely, which results in greater safety for people in increasingly smart cities ”, he highlighted.
With this action, Enel X is moving towards smart lighting, contributing to energy efficiency and caring for the environment, in line with the goal of carbon neutral for 2050.
