Distributed generation is the use of renewable sources, such as the sun, to generate electricity for self-consumption, and in turn inject excess energy into the distribution network.
Distributed generation equipment, such as solar panels, can be installed in industries, SMEs and homes, generating economic savings on the electricity bill and contributing to climate change mitigation.
The user-generator is a customer of the distributor that has already connected its distributed generation equipment under the regulations in force in Law 27,424, which is the system for promoting the Distributed Generation of Renewable Energy.
The distributor is the company that provides the electricity distribution service.
