Attending the inauguration of this new era in motorcycle sports were the Chairman and CEO of Enel X Francesco Venturini, FIM President Vito Ippolito, the CEO of Dorna Sports Carmelo Ezpeleta, Enel CEO Francesco Starace, and the CEO of Energica Livia Cevolini.
The Enel Group, in addition to being the title sponsor of the event, will be showcasing its smart fast charging systems, advanced energy services, green energy supply and storage solutions, specialist staff and dedicated infrastructure in action at each race event. All this thanks to Enel X, the Group’s advanced energy services division.
One of the many benefits of Enel’s involvement is the fast charging technology that can charge the motorcycles both in the pit and in any other part of the circuit, using a mobile charger with integrated storage capacity.
The mobile battery charger can fully charge the motorcycles in less than 30 minutes and can be easily transported and connected to Enel’s smart e-mobility platform.
“Electrifying mobility is important for a number of reasons: to limit environmental impact, reduce reliance on imported hydrocarbons from abroad, and increase transport efficiency”
Francesco Venturini then explained to La Stampa Tuttogreen that “Italy has the opportunity to play a leading role, also from a technological perspective, in this crucial transition.”
With the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup, and thanks to an outstanding team, motorcycle racing is now on the road towards sustainability.
We are committed, we have the skills, we have the technology, we have the capital and we are going to do whatever we can.
