Environmental sustainability in local public transport will be at the centre of the debate at the 14th ASSTRA National Conference “Ieri, oggi, domani. Idee e proposte per la mobilità” (Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow. Ideas and Proposals for Mobility) to be held in Rome, on 8 and 9 February, at the Roma Eventi Fontana di Trevi Conference Centre.
Dianamaria Pacchioni, Enel X’s Head of e-Mobility Offering, will speak about the company’s vision and commitment to the development of collective electric mobility. The conference will be divided into six working sessions in which two financial and economic research studies and guidelines for the sustainability of the LPT (local public transport) company will be presented, creating a moment of discussion with all the players involved.
“La Chiameremo Futura” (Let’s Call It Futura) will be the title of the session in which alternative sources, electric engines for public transport, biomethane and sharing mobility will be discussed. The meeting will open with the presentation of the ASSTRA Sustainability Working Group’s “Guidelines for Corporate Sustainability – Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)”. This will be followed by a round table coordinated by Gianni Scarfone, CEO of ATB Bergamo (the northern Italian city’s public transport company) and an ASSTRA board member. Representatives of institutions and private companies such as Enel X, which operate in the sector, will take part in the debate.
The Enel Group has already launched several projects and partnerships for public electric transport in Spain, Chile, Peru and Colombia, dealing with electricity supply, integrated solutions and the installation and management of charging infrastructure.
