Formula E E-Prix: follow the calendar
SAUDIA ARABIA - AD DIRIYAH
Formula E’s long world tour begins in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. The unique setting for the race will be the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ad Diriyah. Here, the future meets the past as the modern racing cars speed around the spectacular ancient architecture on a unique circuit with 21 bends that are set to guarantee plenty of breath-taking action and no lack of thrills.
CHILE - SANTIAGO
After last year’s upgrade, Santiago is ready to return to hosting Formula E in all of its excitement. All eyes are on the temporary city circuit set up inside Parque O’Higgins with the Andes serving as the backdrop as the zero-impact single-seaters shoot around the track in an adrenaline-fuelled spectacle.
MEXICO – MEXICO CITY
For Formula E, February begins in Mexico City where the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez is ready to open its doors, just as it has every year since 2016, to welcome the 24 drivers competing in the World Championship. Who will be the first to complete the high-speed Peraltada bend that lies just before the finish line?
MOROCCO - MARRAKECH
In Marrakesh, the racing takes place amid the dunes of the gloriously atmospheric Sahara
desert. There is sure to be fun aplenty in the only round on the African continent. In fact, everyone seems of the opinion that the Moulay El Hassan will prove the fastest and most complicated circuit for the drivers to tackle.
CANCELED - CHINA - SANYA
From sandy desert to the sunny beaches of Sanya. This is a place where e-mobility has drastically cut CO2 emissions and where long straights are the order of the day, guaranteeing a spectacular, adrenaline rush for spectators and drivers alike.
ITALY - ROME
Rome and its history are preparing to embrace the cutting edge of e-mobility once
again. The EUR city circuit, which snakes around the Marconi obelisk, is definitely one of the most complex on the calendar. So who will leave their mark on motorsport history in the Eternal City this time out?
FRANCE - PARIS
Paris and its iconic boulevards provide a unique backdrop. Already a fixture on the Formula E. calendar, the area of Les Invalides is ready to welcome back the world championship. Don’t be deceived by the length of the circuit, which is one of the world’s shortest: between its many corners are two straights that will yield plenty of hair-raising last-minute passes.
SOUTH KOREA – SEOUL
South Korea is preparing for its maiden outing in Formula E. A Grand Prix that might be described as Olympic. In fact, the Grand Prix actually takes place inside the Olympic Park used for the 1988 Games and will wind its way into the Olympic Stadium between Corners 5 and 11.
INDONESIA – JAKARTA
Another high-profile Formula E debut is due to take place in Jakarta. Merdeka Square will be the living, beating heart of the Grand Prix action with 24 drivers vying for one thing only: victory!
GERMANY - BERLIN
Berlin is a city redolent of contemporary history. And that includes one of its decommissioned airports, which has now been turned into an enormous park. But there is more to the city than history…there is also the future, the future of sustainable mobility. The city’s former Tempelhof airport plays host to the German round of the Formula E championship. On what was once a two-kilometre stretch of runway, reaching high speeds certainly won’t be a problem.
