Lombardy regional authority call for applications
The concessions take the form of grants issued on the basis of the “de minimis” regulation to cover 50% of eligible expenses (excluding VAT), for the performance of energy audits or for the adoption of the ISO 50001 energy management system at each of the operating facilities where the company conducts its activities (up to a maximum of 10 operating facilities). The contribution may not exceed € 8,000.00 for the energy audit and € 16,000.00 for the adoption of the ISO 50001 energy management system.
SMEs are eligible to submit a concession request if their VAT is registered with ATECO (Italian Statistical Classification of Economic Activities) codes B (Extraction of minerals from quarries and mines) or C (Manufacturing activities).
- Energy audit: to be conducted following the date on which the communication is received from the Regional Authority confirming the assignment of the contribution, and to be completed within the subsequent 4 months. At least one of the energy efficiency improvement recommendations suggested by the energy audit report must be implemented within 24 months after the report is delivered to the company.
- Adoption of the ISO 50001 energy management system: the ISO 50001 energy management system compliance certificate must be issued by an independent, accredited third party organisation. The aforementioned certificate must encompass the entire operating facility and not be limited to just a single production process; furthermore, it must be acquired following the date on which the communication is received confirming the assignment of the regional contribution, and within 28 months of that same date.
For the energy audits:
a) Assignment of external technical experts to conduct the energy audit;
b) Any necessary installation of software or other systems/devices to enable the dynamic, analytical measurement of the operating facility’s energy consumption.
Irrespective of the total amount of the eligible costs, the amount payable shall be limited to a maximum of € 16,000.00; consequently, the contribution may not exceed € 8,000.00.
For the adoption of the ISO 50001 energy management system:
a) Cost of the ISO 50001 energy management system compliance certification, issued by an independent, accredited third party organisation;
b) Cost of consultancy services, including: any support needed following the acquisition of the compliance certificate (in line with the financial reporting deadline) to enable the facility to maintain the approaches adopted for managing its energy requirements; any costs for training personnel on containing energy consumption; and any costs for the purchase of software or other systems/devices for the gathering, measurement and analysis of data to monitor and improve energy efficiency.
In this case the contribution may not exceed € 16,000.00.
