Enel X takes 15,000 steps towards more sustainable homes

The installation of 15 thousand domestic systems will avoid the release into the atmosphere of about 5 thousand tons of CO2 per year, equivalent to 215 thousand new trees planted.
Rome, August 6th, 2020 – Technological solutions to optimize household consumption and make homes more sustainable: Enel X has reached the milestone of 15 thousand domestic systems installed throughout Italy, which reduce environmental impact. The energy efficiency equipment chosen by the customers of Enel X, Enel's global business line dedicated to innovative products and digital solutions, will avoid about 5 thousand tons of CO2 of emissions per year, equivalent to the environmental benefit arising from planting 215 thousand new trees. The systems range from Homix, the Smart Home system that manages home heating, security, and lighting, to air conditioners, condensing boilers, photovoltaic systems, and energy storage systems.

In particular, the customer, who received the 10 thousandth system, photovoltaic panels connected to an energy storage system and air conditioners, received a voucher to purchase products on the www.enelxstore.com online store and a Homix kit, the Enel X Smart Home system, which works with Alexa. This can be easily controlled through Alexa vocal commands or by using a practical touch screen, also remotely, thanks to its dedicated app.
