The CAFAM story is genuinely enlightening. The Caja de Compensación Familiar is one of Colombia’s 40 family compensation funds that provide a wide range of non-profit services to 22 million citizens. These funds are private companies set up with the aim of improving the quality of life for Colombian workers and their families through the distribution of grants, the organisation of recreational, sporting, tourism and cultural activities, the provision of health and educational services as well as support through housing and credit line programmes. Like the other funds, CAFAM is financed by the 4% social security contributions made by employers on every wage. Affiliated workers are thus guaranteed this important cover for themselves and their families, including children who are still minors and parents over the age of 60.
As an association devoted entirely to family welfare, the Christmas festivities are a pivotal time for CAFAM. This is why it decided back in 2014 to turn to Enel to design its artistic Christmas lighting. The Group’s innovative business line Enel X, which is also expert in creating energy efficient and visually spectacular lighting projects, will be taking care of the Christmas lights in CAFAM’s shopping centre, company premises, hotel and social club once again this year. The “Sweet Christmas” lighting rental solution will include interactive scenes developed especially to appeal to the whole family and create joyful memories for people to share with their nearest and dearest.
The installation of the lights and lighting equipment began in the middle of last month. This year, however, CAFAM decided to also ask Enel X to create the decorative lighting for its shopping centre for Halloween as the latter is a very popular event in South America. Work will then continue on the Christmas lights both in the mall and the other locations involved in the project.
On these festive occasions helping create a sense of well-being will be Enel X’s joyful, eco-friendly lighting.
