The home of technology, sustainability and safety
Electric mobility is one of the cornerstones, not only of Enel X’s business model, but also of its entire philosophy. And in order to put that into practice we need a place where technology can be created, tested and developed. And that is precisely what happens at Vallelunga, a race track some 30 kilometers north of Rome. It was here that the Rome Grand Prix used to take place, and the location enjoys almost iconic status among Italian motorsports fans. In 2018 Enel X decided to make Vallelunga the location of its e-Mobility Hub. It entered into a partnership with ACI Vallelunga and that has proved to be so rewarding for both organizations that the agreement has been extended to 2023. This coincides with a major rebranding of the location: it is being fully electrified and a lot of new state-of-the-art infrastructure is being added. In addition to the famous track itself, the Hub will also feature the headquarters, a showroom (with a museum) and a laboratory.
In addition to being the home of Enel X’s e-Mobility Hub, Vallelunga is also the headquarters of the company’s eMotorSports team. Just like Vallelunga and Enel X, e-Mobility and eMotorSports have a symbiotic relationship: eMotorSports is the perfect “vehicle” (for want of a better word) for promoting and testing Enel X’s broad range of charging technology.
